• Tryouts are held in May/June. For tryout information and to register for tryouts please visit: www.freedomsoccerclub.org
• You must have tried out for FSC and have been selected to play on a FSC team to register here.
• If selected for a FSC team, Players must register and pay within 3 days from time offer is made to join a team.

Develop confidence, self defense, discipline, courtesy and self-control through the Korean martial art of Tae Kwon-Do. Classes are coed, 10 weeks long, and offered year-round. Classes are held at the Linton Springs Elem. Community Room, 375 Ronsdale Road, Eldersburg for the following age groups.

Workshop: Painting Step by Step, for ages 11-adult Fall 2017

Workshop: Painting Step by Step, for ages 11 – adult
3 classes; 3 paintings. Students will create a series of 12” x 16” paintings with acrylic paint, and bring one home from each class ready for hanging. Some painting techniques will be taught, but no experience is needed. Great fun!

PIE3 Robotics Teams 2017/18 - FRC

Welcome to the PIE3 Robotics Team Registration Site.

FIRST Robotics Competition is open to students who are 14-18 years old by January, and junior members who are 13 in January. PIE3 currently sponsors the Robo-Lions, FRC Team 2199. The team meets in the Sykesville area at least weekly. The team builds a competitive robot each winter, running summer sessions in robotics and engineering in the summer, training, competing and sharing their STEM experiences throughout the community all year.
Team members learn about and participate in the team in many ways, and may join through the year. Volunteer mentors are also welcome in any of the following areas:
-Electronics and electrical engineering
-Mechanical systems and system integration
-Public relations, including marketing, graphic design and social media
-Business planning and fundraising
-Computer Aided Design (CAD)
-Programming in Java
-Shop safety, quality engineering and product reliability

There is an initiation fee of $50 for students. This includes an invitation to visit with the current team or attend a workshop to learn about the program. Full membership will require additional fundraising and/or contributions to cover team registrations, materials, and travel.

4th-6th Grade instrumentalists advance their skills by playing rock, pop and jazz music! As an extension of the awesome kids program’s beginning band and orchestra, this class features a combined band and orchestra playing a variety of songs ending with a live recital performance.

The Awesome Kids Band includes all 4th, 5th and 6th grade instrumentalists of any instrument (strings, woodwinds, brass and percussion). While performing fun and popular tunes, students learn new fingerings, notes and theory about music and their instrument. Play songs from the Beatles, Van Halen, Michael Jackson and more, on your band or orchestra instrument!


Heartlight Aerobics - Spring 2017-18

Heartlight Aerobics is an aerobic program designed especially for children. The program provides a healthy environment where children work out to the latest music including songs by Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, and One Direction.

Classes will happen if enough participants sign up. If interested please register within this online system. Once determined class is a go you will receive an email to log back in and complete registration and pay.

Cost: $50.00

JDCRO Orchestra Practice 2017-18

JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra, a non-profit community music group of students and adult volunteers, performs Rock, Pop, Motown, Jazz & Classical to support charitable events throughout the year. Students improve their music skills while earning service hours serving their community through music, building leadership skills, and having fun jamming with other musicians.

Who: Student musicians in grades 6-12. Also, members of the community of any age who want to join by helping or playing an instrument are welcome!

Cost: $99 per 4 month session- See Sessions below - you must register for each session separately.

Freedom Coed Slow Pitch Over 16 Softball Fall 2017

Adult Coed Slow Pitch fun league for ages 16 and older.

Select your team when you register. If you do not see your team select team not listed and indicate the team in comments. If you are looking for a team register as a free agent.

Double header format – 2 -55 minute games – player starts with 1-1 count then 1 foul ball – 7 inning games. ***

Freedom Area Basketball - 2017/18

The mission of the Freedom Area Basketball League (FABL) is to provide education, instruction, and recreation in the game of basketball for the young people of the Freedom Area community. FABL has both an Intramural program, as well as select Travel Teams that offer a more competitive element to the level of play. We have divisions available for boys and girls in grades K through 12. In addition to skills development, sportsmanship and the enjoyment of participation will be emphasized at all levels.

You must have a participation code to register as a volunteer for this trip.

Once you have completed this registration you must also complete the county background proceedure. If you have already done so this year and already have your badge then you do not have to do again. To do your background check you must follow the steps below:
To initiate your background check, go to Carroll County’s custom application online submitting portal:
https://ssci2000.secure-screening.net/escreening/OApp_LoginEntrance.asp?mode=direct&code=450500
Once the check has been initiated, please forward a picture, with name and council information, to ccrec@ccg.carr.org. This will allow them to create your photo volunteer ID. ID’s will be mailed to you.

This information will also be on our exit email you will receive after registering.

HOW TO REGISTER

Step 1) Click LOGIN/REGISTER and create an account - please include cell phone number - if you have                   already created an account for another FARC program using this site use the same account.

Step 2) Add your children (when adding grade use current grade in school) and/or spouse to the account

Step 3) Register your participants - scroll to find the program you want to register for
