K-2 grade - $55.00
3-4 grade – $100.00
5-6 grade – $120.00
7-8 grade – $120.00

These are the grade for the 2016-17 School year (make sure you set account up with current grade - the system will make the adjustment internally).
Emphasis is placed on gaining knowledge, understanding and learning the skills necessary to play girls field hockey.

100% (less $20 non-refundable admin fee) before July 1.
50% ((less $20 non-refundable admin fee) before July 31

When you register click on the player tab.

If you are a first or second year referee you must attend 2 clinics:

Session #1 Sunday August 14th from 2 – 4:00 PM or 4:15 – 6:15 PM at the Optimist Community Center Upstairs.

Session #2 Sunday August 28th from 2 – 4:00 PM or 4:15 – 6:15 PM at the Optimist Community Center Upstairs.
You must attend both sessions.

If you are a third or more year referee then you must attend 1 clinic onSunday August 21st from 2 – 4:00 PM or 4:15 – 6:15 PM at the Optimist Community Center Upstairs. You must attend a session to referee.

If you are a 3rd year or more and wish to referee at Eldersburg and not Freedom Park then you need to attend the 1st & 2nd year referee clinics.

If for some reason you cannot attend the required sessions you must contact Sue Chaney at fosreferees@gmail.com. If you do not attend required sessions and do not have a waiver from the referee coordinator you will not be allowed to referee.

There is no fee to register. Registration will be open till August 13th for 1st & 2nd year referees and August 20th for 3rd year and beyond referees.

If you are a third year and beyond who would be interested in helping with training or be a lead referee at Eldersburg or Freedom Park.

You should receive a call from your child's coach during the last week of July, except for the Pre-K teams those calls will not be going out until the First week of Sept. (Pre-K teams do not practice in August)

ERR Arrows Fall Cross Country - 2016

ERR Arrows - Youth Cross Country Fall 2016

2016 Season: Tuesday, August 23 -- Thursday, October 27

Practice times: Tuesday and Thursday evenings from 5:15 – 6:30 PM
Location of practices: Parking lot behind Linton Springs Elementary School in Eldersburg

Athletes will be separated by age and/or ability at practices. Meets, which are held in Carroll and surrounding counties, will start on Sunday, September 11 and continue on Sundays through the end of October. Meets are not required, but each athlete is encouraged to participate in at least one during the season. The Arrows cross-country program is for beginners and experienced runners. However, it is highly recommended that your young athlete be able to run the following distances without stopping before they join the program (1 lap around a high school track for 6 and under, 2 laps for 7/8, 4 laps for 9 through 12, and 6 laps for 13/14 age group). COST

The cost is $45 per athlete for the 1st family member, $40 for 2nd and additional family members. This registration amount does not include fees for participating in the meets (typically $5 per athlete per meet). The Arrows uniform (the same jersey and shorts used for our Track and Field program) is required to participate in meets and must be purchased separately through the following website: www.proforma.com/errarrows . If your athlete is participating in the first meet on September 11, you must purchase the uniform by 8/20 to have it on time.

SCAA Men's Softball Fall 2016

You must have a participation code in order to register.

If you are a team manager register as a Player under the Manager's Division in the night you are playing. If you are a player register under the player link for the night you are playing.

Competitive Multiple Media - Fall 2016 - Ages 11-15

Students will learn to illustrate in a variety of mediums, including charcoal, colored pencils, and acrylics. Creative projects will be interspersed with technique study to develop many areas of expression. All students will be competing in 2 additional 2-hour sessions to demonstrate the skills they’ve learned in the program. Ages 11 – 15 will be able to compete in the Regional Competition on Saturday, November 12th at 10am at the South Carroll Senior and Community Center. All materials are included. Art in our World Fall 2016

Art in our World, for ages 6 – 10.
This class will introduce children to the basic fundamentals of art. The students will be encouraged and given the opportunity to explore and create art projects in a variety of mediums. With their acquired skills, the children will complete weekly projects with the use of clay, paints, collage and recycled materials.

Stained Class II - Fall 2016

Stained Class II, for adults, and children 12 and up.
This program offers the moderate to advanced student to expand their creativity and skills. This class is for someone who has experience with stained glass and the materials used. As with past classes, supplies are included. A variety of projects from panels, window hangings and 3-D pieces will be completed within the six week schedule. The Art of Stained Glass - Fall 2016

The Art of Stained Glass, for adults, and children 12 and up. Great parent/child class! This class will teach you all the elements that go into making your own stained glass work of art. You will learn how to cut, grind, foil and solder your glass. One to two seasonal pieces will be completed for you to display in a window, on a wall or easel. No tools are required. Drawing the Human Head – The Perfect Portrait - Fall 2016

Drawing the Human Head – The Perfect Portrait, for ages 11 – adult
Become familiar drawing the anatomy human skull; the underlying structure of any portrait. Use the gained information to form multiple layers of sketches to develop a finished drawing. One, which considers classic human proportions, line, tone, light, contrast and shading to achieve a convincing likeness of the person as the subject in the portrait. Materials used will include, pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, velum, tracing paper and ink wash. Student will be encouraged to experiment in color using a pastel rubbing method if time allows.

Freedom Area Ringers 2016/17 Community Handbell Choirs

The Freedom Area Ringers, English Handbell choirs consist of two groups for students grade 4 through adults. Rehearsals are held weekly at Faith Lutheran Church, 1700 St. Andrews Way (next to CCPL).
If you've never tried ringing handbells, come and give it a try. It is great, team building, addictive, musical fun!

Class Schedule:
Thursday evenings starting September 8, 2016 ending on May 25, 2017 with concerts in December and May.
Beginners: Level 1 & 2 No bell or music experience necessary. Grade 4 - Adult, Thurs. 6-7 PM.
Learn the basic mechanics of ringing, reading music notation, and teamwork moving toward performance of several pieces of music.

Intermediate: Level 2+ & 3 Two years of bell experience or strong music background. Grade 4-Adult, Thurs. 7:15 - 8:15 PM
Build on basic knowledge of bell music / note reading to practice and perform music with expression and musicality.

JDCRO Orchestra Practice 2015-16

JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra, a non-profit community music group of students and adult volunteers, performs Rock, Pop, Motown, Jazz & Classical to support charitable events throughout the year. Students improve their music skills while earning service hours serving their community through music, building leadership skills, and having fun jamming with other musicians.

Who: Student musicians in grades 6-12. Also, members of the community of any age who want to join by helping or playing an instrument are welcome!

Cost: $99 per 4 month session- See Sessions below - you must register for each session separately.

Awesome Kid’s Summer Music session is directed by Mr. Dundore, graduate from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia and the Berklee College of Music. For the past 10 years Mr. Dundore has worked in the Carroll County public schools as music, concert band, orchestra and jazz band teacher. Mr. Dundore has performed on NBC’s “America’s Got Talent!” in 2008, FOX45 - Canton Jazz Festival 2009, and Winner of the Ephrata Performing Arts Center’s Got Talent 2009. He also directs the JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra, which, in its 3 year history, has raised over $20,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project among others.

Freedom Coed Slow Pitch Over 16 Softball Fall 2016

Adult Coed Slow Pitch fun league for ages 16 and older.

Select your team when you register. If you do not see your team select team not listed and indicate the team in comments. If you are looking for a team register as a free agent.

If you have a new team please contact Sue Chaney at sgchaney57@gmail.com and we I set up your team for registration. If you are an individual player looking for a team register as a free agent. You will be wait listed and I will assign you to a team as soon as I find an available spot.

All Team Managers must register as a volunteer.

Double header format – 2 -55 minute games – player starts with 1-1 count then 1 foul ball – 7 inning games. ***

Season runs Sundays September 11-November 13 (8 weeks with a week off in the middle-includes one rain date)

Location: Freedom Park

Cost: $50.00/player (all league costs included)

All registrations after August 21 will include a $10.00 late registration fee - Cost: $60 Credit Card Payments Only



All check payments must be received by August 21st or no uniform will be ordered for your team.

No refunds will be issued for games due to circumstances beyond our control.

Refund Policy - 100% thru August 21 - no refunds unless medically related after that. There will be a $25.00 fee for any returned checks.


Freedom Pickup Double’s Tennis 2016

Tennis players are wanted for Drop-in Doubles. We will mix and match players to have fun, social tennis play. We are planning to have weekday afternoon/evening time at local courts. Also, the possibility of weekend and weekday daytime play. Playing days and times will be decided based on input from interested players (and court availability). Play will start as soon as weather permits.
Who: Tennis Players
Where: Eldersburg Area Courts
When: Weekdays – mornings, afternoons or evenings, weather permitting. Possibility of weekend play.

Cost: $5 per year

Welcome to the Freedom Firebirds registration page.

Congratulations on making a Firebird team this season.

As you register you will be required to enter a participation code. You can contact your team manager for this code if you have not already received it.

You will also be asked to select a team -- select the team your child will be playing for this season.

If you are a volunteer you need to also register as a volunteer.
