Sykesville Travel Baseball 2016/17

Welcome to the Sykesville Baseball Travel registration page.

Congratulations on making a Sykesville Baseball Travel team this season.

As you register you will be required to enter a participation code. You can contact your team Coach for this code if you have not already received it.

You will also be asked to select a team -- select the team your child will be playing for this season.

If you are a Coach, Assistant Coach or Team Parent you need to also register as a volunteer.

You must have tried out for a Sykesville Baseball Travel Team and have been selected to play on that team in order to register.


Volleyball 2017 Winter Session

Time: Mondays and Wednesdays
Place: South Carroll Senior & Community Center

Skills Day- Monday January 9th or Wednesday January 11th
(You will get an email with your assigned time the week before Skills Day)

-Team practices:
Monday January 16th & January 23th
Wednesday January 18th & January 25th.
(Time slots will be emailed after skills day)


7 weeks of league play. Each team plays once a week either on Monday or Wednesdays.
(You will get an email with your assigned time the week before games begin)
Monday sessions: 1/30, 2/6, 2/13, 2/20, 2/27, 3/6 and 3/13/17.
Wednesday sessions: 2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, 3/8 and 3/15/17.
Please be advised that if you are paying for registration by check we must receive your check no later than 12/28/15 to guarantee your participation.
After 1/5/17 unpaid accounts will be dropped from the system.

Late fee of $10 begins 12/26/16


Refund Policy: Twenty dollars of the tuition in non refundable. Refunds on remaining balances may be requested in writing no later then 14 days prior to the beginning of each session.

FSC Travel Soccer 2016/2017

Freedom Rec Softball Spring 2017

Girls Rec. Softball Divisions are as follows:
Pre K-Kindergarten (must turn age 5 by Sept. 1, 2017)
1-3 grade (Coach/Machine Pitch)
3-4 grade (Kid & Machine Pitch)
5-7 grade(Kid Pitch)
8-12 grade(Kid Pitch)
Emphasis is placed on fun and instruction.

Late Registration from February 1 - March 15
Cost: : $90.00

Registration is not considered complete and players will not be assigned to a team until payment is received.

There is a $20.00 non-refundable administrative fee on all registrations.

Practice begins in March 15 for Grades 1-12.
Season begins for all divisions April 8- June 10.

We will be holding free pitching instruction clinics in January & February 2017 for Grades 3-4, 5-7 and 8-12 Divisions. All pitchers or potential pitchers are encouraged to attend. We will have indoor pitching practice session from January through March. Times and exact dates to be determined. We will also hold an indoor catching clinic, and some outdoor fielding hitting and clinics. Additional information to follow.

If you wish to be a Team Manager, Assistant Coach, Team Parent or Volunteer in any other way you MUST register online. Please note - all Team Managers & Assistant Coaches will also be required to additionally register with Carroll County - instructions can be found on our website.

PIE3 Robotics Teams 2016/17 - FRC

Welcome to the PIE3 Robotics Team Registration Site.

Note that the initiation fee of $20 does not guarantee placement on a team. If a workshop is open, you will be entitled to attend the workshop. Workshop attendance is not mandatory, but registrations do close as noted. If you have been confirmed by your coach, you will be assigned to the appropriate team.

Cost is $20 per child eligible for team participation. Additional costs for the season will be discussed in detail during the workshop and may vary by team.

JDCRO Orchestra Practice 2016-17

JoeyDCares Rock Orchestra, a non-profit community music group of students and adult volunteers, performs Rock, Pop, Motown, Jazz & Classical to support charitable events throughout the year. Students improve their music skills while earning service hours serving their community through music, building leadership skills, and having fun jamming with other musicians.

Who: Student musicians in grades 6-12. Also, members of the community of any age who want to join by helping or playing an instrument are welcome!

Cost: $99 per 4 month session- See Sessions below - you must register for each session separately.

Practice Schedule:
3/14 – 5:30-7:00: ONLY 10-and-younger
3/16 – 5:30-7:00: ONLY 11-and-older
3/21 through 6/8 -- every Tues/Thurs.: 5:30-6:30 younger RUN; 6:30-7:30 older group RUN.
4/4 through 6/8 -- Field Events every Tues/Thurs: (Older Group: 6:00-6:30; Younger group: 6:30-7:00)

PROGRAM INFORMATION

Athletes separated by age, trained according to specialty—sprints; distance; field events. Meets (Sundays) start April 9. Meets (athletes compete against other youth clubs) not required, but Arrows encouraged to try at least one.
Add-on program $20 plus regular registration fee: 4 sessions of Competitive Training Practices for sprinters aged 11-and-up (age by 12/31/2017) on Sundays, starting March 12. For more details on program, visit www.errun.org.

Our objective: Have fun while developing skills and appreciation for the sport of Track and Field. Parent volunteers are needed – let us know if interested!

Cost: $45 per athlete for 1st family member, $40 for 2nd +; 4-week sprinter’s Competitive Training Program: $20 added on. Cost does not include uniform jersey (required for meets) that is purchased separately, nor does it include meet entry fees -- typically $6 (paid on day of meet).

Drawing the Human Head – The Perfect Portrait - Fall 2016

Drawing the Human Head – The Perfect Portrait, for ages 11 – adult
Become familiar drawing the anatomy human skull; the underlying structure of any portrait. Use the gained information to form multiple layers of sketches to develop a finished drawing. One, which considers classic human proportions, line, tone, light, contrast and shading to achieve a convincing likeness of the person as the subject in the portrait. Materials used will include, pencil, charcoal, pen & ink, velum, tracing paper and ink wash. Student will be encouraged to experiment in color using a pastel rubbing method if time allows.
